You tube flagging system is basically to keep the website clean . If you find a video inappropriate and thinks that it should not be on you tube you can simply flag it. YouTube will review the video and next time it will be not on the website if YouTube is agreed with your complain .

The YouTube flagging system works best when you take the time to understand our Community Guidelines before you flag a video.So before flagging any video please go through Community guidelines .

  1. I do agree with you about the flag system and the community guidelines. But, youtube did it in most stupid way by set “Flag GUI” too close to the “view statistic”. So when a viewer only interest where other viewers are (list of how other people search to get this video; and; the map of where these viewers are), he/she can mistaken to trigger the “Flag of improper content”. Not all computer responded to mouse movement that accuraty and some viewer may have a quick hand on clicking. So, unless youtube change the location of this GUI, they will ask for trouble by themselves and need to review lots of video content by this non-realistic page design. But, there is no way I can tell youtube to improve this because youtube never provide the “recommendation” channel.
