YouTube Symphony Orchestra:Download free audition backing tracks from puresolo

With the launch of the YouTube Symphony Orchestra last month, the internet looks set to revolutionise how musicians can collaborate together.

In response, Pure Solo has made many of the audition pieces suggested by YouTube available as a free download in their PureSolo Player.

The PureSolo Player is a downloadable application that is available for free at Here, musicians can browse a library of over 10,000 professional backing tracks arranged for a wide choice of artists, genres and instruments.

Each track typically costs 99p, with more intricate classical pieces costing up to £1.99. However, pieces for the YouTube Symphony Orchestra are free for the duration of the audition period.

To claim their free audition backing tracks, YouTube applicants can download the free PureSolo Player at After the download has completed, users simply open the application and filter tracks by selecting their instrument and hitting the YouTube button.

  1. You can also record your performances and burn them to CD or email them to your friends – all from within the PureSolo player.
