Measure your internetwith M-Lab

Everybody who is using internet is curious to know how to measure it in terms of efficiency ,speed and other factors which are responsible for good or bad internet connection.
Till now it was very difficult for a layman to check the preformance of their broadband connection.
Now Google has forayed in this domain in the partnership of New America Foundation’s Open Technology Institute and
the PlanetLab Consortium  and the result is M-Lab.
Measurement Lab (M-Lab) is an open, distributed server platform for researchers to deploy Internet measurement tools.
The goal of M-Lab is to advance network research and empower the public with useful information about their broadband
connections. By enhancing Internet transparency, M-Lab helps sustain a healthy, innovative Internet.

It provides Tools for Users and works as An Open Platform for Researchers .
