Some suggestions for facebook

Face book is no more a social networking site. Indeed it has become a social media weapon. Now people use face book to raise their voice against social, political, economical, environmental and various other causes. People express themselves using Facebook.Though face book evolving day by day but there are some areas where they can focus.

Editor-Facebook should improve their Editor used in Facebook Note.At present this Editor is very basic and poor in features. It is bit difficult to type a note using present editor.e.g. if I have to bold a particular word I have to use tag. For somebody who is not much aware of HTML it is scary. Here Gmail Editor is the example.

Now you can integrate chat feature of Facebook in your preferred instant messenger like Google Talk, Yahoo messenger, Skype, Widows live messenger, ICQ and AIM etc.
It means you need not to stay logged in to Face book to chat with your Facebook friends.Using recently launched Face book Chat we can do this. Facebook Chat– is a desktop instant messaging client.
Your conversations will remain completely private and only between you and your Face book friends.

Facebook adding 600000 user per day

Facebook is growing with exponential rate. In Social network domain Facebook is Google. In some areas Facebook is competing with Google. e.g. Google Friend connect and Facebook connect war.I think Facebook Connect is to be a runaway success, Everyday they are doing something new to help user to implement Facebook connect.

According to inside facebook Facebook is adding 600,000 users per day and they have reached 140 million active users.

If Facebook continues at this rate, it could add up to 20 million new users in December and reach 200 million active users by March. Keep in mind however that about 70% of that growth is happening outside the United States.

Facebook also released new engagement stats today about the way users interact with different features on the site. Some highlights:

  • 13 million users update their statuses at least once each day
  • 2.5 million users become fans of Pages each day
  • 700 million photos are uploaded to the site each month
  • 4 million videos are uploaded each month
  • 15 million pieces of content (web links, news stories, blog posts, notes, photos, etc.) are shared each month
  • 2 million events created each month
  • 19 million active groups exist on the site
